Reorganizing Firmed Planned Orders

Use

Firmed planned orders are subject to normal firming logic; that means, the system does not delete them automatically during the planning run when they are no longer needed. You can, however, define a roll forward period. The system then deletes all firmed planned orders that lie before the roll forward period automatically. The master plan is thus updated.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for MRP or MPS in the IMG activity Define planning time fence and roll forward period, you have defined a roll forward period per plant or per MRP group.
If you define it per MRP group, you have assigned the corresponding MRP group to the material in the material master.
You have assigned an MRP type, which allows the deletion of firmed planned orders, to the material in the material master.
