Execute Capacity Leveling in Planned Order 

Prerequisites

You have created a planned order or accessed a planned order in order to change or display it and are in the main screen of the planned order.

Procedure

  1. Choose Goto → Capacity leveling.

The Settings for capacity planning dialog box now appears.

  1. Select the required planning type and the period value for capacity planning and, if necessary, choose a period of examination. Choose .

The system executes the lead time scheduling and calculates the capacity requirements using the parameters, that you have set in Customizing for MRP in the IMG activity Define scheduling parameters for planned orders.

If errors occurred during scheduling, the system displays an overview of the scheduling errors relating to the planned order. In the scheduling log, you can check the details of the scheduling errors.

Result

You now branch into the screen for capacity leveling (order view).

For the planned order selected, the capacity leveling relates to one work center and one capacity category (machine or person) as well as the capacity unit (for example, hours) from the work center. The system displays the following data:

  • Order number, order quantity and basic dates
  • Available capacity
  • Overall capacity requirements at the selected work center
  • Capacity requirements for the material
  • Capacity requirement for the planned order selected

Capacity loads caused by the planned order selected are highlighted.
