Use
Planned orders as internal planning elements only serve for planning purposes and do not trigger any procurement themselves. The system only triggers procurement, once these are converted into fixed receipt elements.
Integration
You have two options for converting the planned orders:
- over the MRP menu
- over the MRP list or the stock/requirements list.
If you double-click on a planned order in the respective list, a dialog box with details for the planned order and the different options for conversion appears.
Features
The planned orders are converted as follows:
|
Discrete manufacturing, external procurement |
Planned order → Purchase requisition The purchase requisition is then converted into a purchase order by Purchasing. It is only a fixed receipt element, once it is converted into a purchase order. For more information, see Converting Planned Orders into Purchase Requisitions. |
|
Discrete manufacturing, in-house production |
Planned order → Production order For more information, refer to PP-Production Orders under Planned Order Conversions |
|
Process manufacturing |
Planned order → Process order For more information, refer to PP-Production Planning-Process Industries under Converting Planned Order Collectively |
The following options are available:
- Individual conversion (single planned order, also as a partial conversion)
- Collective conversion (several planned orders simultaneously)
