Providing Components 
Prerequisites
If you want to assign a material component as a part-to-be- provided to an operation, you
- choose a control key that allows external processing
- set the Subcontracting indicator in the purchasing data for the operation.
Procedure
- In the operation overview choose Goto → CompAlloc. gen.
The Material Component Overview screen appears
- Select the BOM item that you want to provide and choose Edit → New Assignment.
The New Assignment screen appears.
- Enter the operation that the component is to be provided for and choose Continue.
You return to the Material Component Overview screen
- Save you routing.
