User Exit: Material Selection for the Total Planning Run

Use

You can use this user exit, which is predefined by SAP, to restrict the total planning run to certain materials that fulfil freely definable criteria. For example, you can thus determine that

only materials planned using MRP or
only materials for a particular MRP controller or
only materials procured externally or in-house

are to be planned.

Prerequisites

You have defined the key and descriptive text for the user exit in Customizing for MRP in the IMG activity User exit: Material selection for planning run.
You have activated the user exit within the framework of the SAP enhancement concept. The name of the enhancement is M61X0001.

Features

The system calls up the user exit for every material, after the corresponding planning file entry and the data in the material master has been read. Using the user exit, you can exclude the material from the planning. The planning file entry remains unchanged.

Activities

Enter the key for the user exit and, if necessary, a corresponding parameter in the initial screen of the total planning run.
