Procedure
- On the Document Management screen, choose Environment → Engin. change mgmt. → Revision level → Document rev. level.
You see the Change Document Revision Level: Initial Screen.
- Enter the following data to identify the document: document number, document type, and document part.
Confirm your entries.
- You see an overview of all the versions with a revision level.
– The upper section of the screen contains the document number, document type, and document part that identify the document.
– In the Revision level dataset, you see which revision level has been assigned to the document versions. You also see the valid-from dates of the revision levels and the change numbers to which they refer.
– You can sort the versions according to various criteria, such as date, change number, or revision level.
- You can enter data in the Revision level field. You can overwrite the value.
Please note the following:
– Each revision level can be assigned only once per document.
– Any value is allowed for external assignment.
– Only revision levels that have been defined in Customizing for the Document Management System under Control Data → Define revision levels can be used for internal assignment. You can choose the revision level from the possible entries by double-clicking.
- Save your changes.
You see the initial screen again.
