Classifying Work Centers 

Prerequisites

In order to allocate a work center to a class, the class must first be defined in the class system. For more information, see Creating Classes

One class type is the system default. If several class types are available for a work center, you can change the class type.

Procedure

  1. While you are creating or editing a work center choose Extras → Classification.
  2. Enter the class you wish to allocate to the work center.
  3. To maintain characteristics choose Edit → Values.

 

You can also allocate a work center to a class in the area menu Classification:

  1. In the R/3 main menu choose Logistics → Central functions → Classification.
  2. Choose Allocation → Maintain → Object to classes.
